Conocimos a productores de jamaica, mango, piña, yaka, plátano y café. Especial atención le hemos dedicado al café. Con un recorrido de apenas una semana no nos fue suficiente para explorar la abundancia de frutos que existen en la región de Nayarit. Hay gran potencial de comercialización para estos productos, la clave está en encontrar el nicho de mercado y por supuesto tener la calidad que exigimos. Es importante resaltar varios puntos: los productores no aplican agroquímicos debido al alto costo que representan su adquisición, las variedades que se manejan son criollas lo que quiere decir que son propias de la región y no son organismos genéticamente modificados (OGM o GMO por sus siglas en inglés) como usualmente se usa en la agricultura convencional donde la planta es híbrida (solo da frutos una sola vez), algunos ya están certificados y otros están en proceso, generan empleos para la comunidad.

A week was not enought to explore the abundacy of fruits that exists in the Nayarit region. There's a great potential of comercialization of this products, the key is to find the market niche and of course have the quality that we demand. It's important to highlight some points: the producers don't apply agrochemicals due to the high costs that represents their adquisition, the varieties that are handled are indigenous wich means that are from the region and not genetically modified organism (GMO) as it is usual in conventional agriculture were the plant is hibrid (it only gives fruits once), some are certified and others are in the process, generates jobs for the community.
